The Society Against Grammatical Boobery's people
Membership: Anyone may apply for membership to The Society, even grammatical boobs (as long as they're willing to de-boob themselves). Please send an e-mail to thesagb to request membership. Once you're a member, send booberies to the same address. We'll post them and give you credit.
President and Founder, Julie Ellington believes in the power of punctuation. Sentence patterns and clause combination thrill her beyond what is normal -- even for a grammarian. Her favorite punctuation mark is the semi-colon; her least favorite is the exclamation point (especially in analytical essays). She wishes she could wear a t-shirt that reads, "I'm with Sapir and Whorf" and has two arrows pointing out in opposite directions. Of course, she wishes she could actually be accompanied by them. Clearly, Julie enjoys a good sociolinguistic sandwich.
